Esme & Jacob got married in April at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas. Their love for bird watching and all things natural drew them to this outdoor venue. Their faith and heritage was the pillar of the day and we were honored to capture some of the Jewish traditions. Esme designed and sewed her own wedding dress which was composed of various delicate silks & chiffon with a built in veil. Her aunt hand-crafted the Chuppah from vintage fabrics and hand embroidered elements of Jacob & Esme's relationship throughout.

Jen & Chris originally eloped in Las Vegas and then had a reception in May at Justine's Secret House in Austin, Texas (hint: the password is surrealist). Their bright personalities and unique interests were weaved throughout the celebration. Guests were seated at tables based on toys and sculptures of J & C's favorite cartoons, movies, and anime. Each guest was given a personal enamel pin.

Kirby & Sam got married in February at Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas. They opted for an intimate day with mostly family in attendance. Kirby's sister Katharyn officiated the ceremony and Kirby & Sam walked down the aisle together before exchanging their handwritten vows. Instead of a huge dance party, K & S kept things lowkey with a crossword puzzle challenge and a magician for their guests during dinner. The apps, meal and desserts were all vegan!

Lindsey & Alex got married in December at Hummingbird House in Austin, Texas. From the moment we entered the space, Lindsey, Alex and their friends welcomed us in with open arms and let all their guards down. It was such a fun, candid-captured filled day. Since December in Texas is basically the same temperature as fall everywhere else, the foliage was sprinkled with brilliant oranges and yellows. The dance floor went BONKERS - peep the photo evidence.

Jessica & Blake got married in October at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas. They wanted a "y'allternative" aesthetic. One of our favorite features of this hill country venue is the rust stained metal facade of the barn. The oranges and blues photograph so well. We captured their day on a mix of digital photography, 35mm film, 120 film and crafted a Super 8 Mini Film for them.

Chloe & Thomas got married in June at The Wildflower Barn in Driftwood, Texas. Their day was colorful and sun-soaked. Their best friend officiated the ceremony. During the reception, Chloe & Thomas performed an acoustic song together and then welcomed up their parents for a song. We captured it all on digital, 35mm film, medium format film in the Holga and crafted a Super 8 Mini Film.

Austin & Emily got married at the Travis County Courthouse in August. They got ready at Hotel Magdalena on South Congress. Austin helped Emily with the final touches of her dress. She wore her grandmother's jewelry. After their courthouse ceremony, they went back to Hotel Magdalena for cocktail hour and some toasts. They finished the night with a private dinner at Jacoby's. Janie & Brenda decided to elope in the Oregon Wallowa mountains. They stayed at the iconic Wallowa Lake Lodge. Originally, they planned to take a tram up to the mountain summit for their ceremony. But as they got dressed, they got a call that the tram was down for the rest of the day. We pivoted to some portraits on the lakefront and an intimate, sunlit ceremony in the woods, utilizing our campsite nearby.

Brooke & Perron had an intimate gathering of family at a local art gallery in Austin, Texas. They loved all things film photography and brought so much energy to their portraits! The sweet ceremony was capped with a pedicab exit to their dinner on South Congress.

Josh & Eliana planned to elope in Big Bend National Park in September. Little did we know, it's monsoon season and is actually quite rainy during that month. We scouted locations in the park for them. The next morning, they sipped coffee and read letters from each other from their casita looking out to the mountains in the distance. They got ready together and shared their vows in the park. After, they stopped for some breakfast tacos in Terlingua.

There's never a bad day for a courthouse elopement. Will & Carlyn brought their pup Possum along for the ride. After their civil ceremony, we strolled to the park across the street to cut the cake and send them off in their Mazda. We also filmed a Super 8 Mini Film of their elopement!

Jose & Gabby are some of our best friends. They are the in-house videographers for KURO Creative House. They wanted their engagement photos to feel like a date night in Austin, so we shopped for records at End of An Ear, grabbed some drinks at Sign Bar and ended at Pinballz arcade. Gabby was inspired by 80s era Hong Kong engagement photography.

Cami & Jeff came down to Texas from Chicago to host their intimate wedding at Hudson Bend Ranch and we actually captured their engagement photos the same week as the wedding! We got to show them two of our favorite spots - Deep Eddy's Cabaret and The Carpenter Hotel. They had the best time playing pool at the bar!

Uncle Nicky's in Hyde Park was actually closed for renovations but they kindly opened their doors & kitchen for Joanna & Peter to Lady & The Tramp some spaghetti!

Ashi & Roger wanted their engagement session to feel like one of their favorite date nights. We went to Emma Long Park in Austin, Texas for a picnic by the water that Ashika and Roger thoughtfully packed with champagne and charcuterie. Ruby & Patrick strolled along South Congress in Downtown Austin and stopped at some of their favorite spots - Jo's Coffee (with the iconic "I love you so much." mural) and Home Slice Pizza. They brought so much good energy to this session and it felt like we were naturally just following them around for a night on the town.
