We are Ryan & Sharayah Kurowski, the creative directors of KURO Creative House. Currently residing in Portland, Oregon, we serve the PNW wedding market and lead a team of talented photographers and videographers based in our old stomping grounds of Austin, Texas. Our wedding photography & videography studio offers down-to-earth wedding documentation through digital and film mediums.

We specialize in celebrations of love that break the mold of wedding day trends and norms. When your veil flies in your face, when you wipe your tears on your sleeve, when you dance until you can't breathe, that's where we thrive. When you trust our team to capture those real and honest moments, you end up with heirloom photography and videography that feels like you and your unique love.

KURO Creative House is a curated team of like-minded & talented creatives who have been hand-selected to capture your story.

SHARAYAH & RYAN

No staged poses, no awkward gimmicks. Honestly, so much of a wedding day is orchestrated or faked and we think that’s a shame. We want the nitty gritty realness. We will always allow for time to breathe, hug your guests or private reflection. We will prioritize forming memories over photo ops any day.

MOMENTS

WE HUNT FOR

Our team values experimentation and artistry. We're always on a swivel to notice the finer details and candid shots. Like every frame is a painting, we find inspiration in the light from a window or the architecture of your venue. Our approach blends perfectly with couples who value creativity in their wedding gallery.

CREATIVITY

WE VALUE

We know your wedding is a reflection of you and your partner. We craft your content with a mindfulness for the energy you brought to the day. If you’re emotive, your film & photos will be emotional. If you’re a party animal, your film & photos will be a rager. We cook with the emotions and vibes you give us.

PERSONALITY

WE HONOR YOUR

Weddings require more than just technical skill. Our team knows how to read the room. We won’t interrupt you when you’re in the moment or tell you how to feel or react. More than anything, we care about your experience of the day and allowing you to remain present with your emotions, friends & family.

DISCRETION

WE WORK WITH

Our team captures with an experience-first mentality, ensuring our couples feel safe to be vulnerable, spontaneous and present in the moment with their friends and family before thinking about fulfilling a shot list. We achieve this by being personable, allowing moments to play out naturally, and working closely with our couples to ensure their preferences and personalities are heard before we even show up for the wedding day.
